Meet Braden

Braden’s passion for photography grew out of his love of the outdoors.

Starting with photography casually in his teens, Braden began taking photos on a gifted point-and-shoot camera while out hiking around the Pacific Northwest, just as a way to document the experience. While living in the Caribbean in his early 20s, Braden discovered that photography was a way for him to connect to the world around him and share his experiences. Braden has lived in Washington, The US Virgin Islands, Nevada, and Arizona- all great places to call a home base for adventures.

During college, he studied disaster planning, emergency preparedness and geology, and that had a profound impact on his view of how people interact with the world around them, and how our collective actions impact the world.

Braden seeks to share his passion for adventure, travel, and the natural world through visual storytelling, and if he’s lucky, by connecting people with something that may spark their own passion for the beauty of the world around them.

Braden is a Part 107 licensed drone pilot, and has a full suite of photography and video gear, ready to be put to use telling important stories.

My Philosophy

I believe that people care about the things they know about, and my philosophy as a photographer is to connect people to the world around us - a reminder that we’re A PART of nature, not apart from nature.

My greatest passion in life is the natural world. Every place has a unique combination of geology, climate, natural history, plants, animals, and culture. Each of these factors is important to really understanding a place.

Storytelling is how we come to know, and care about, these places and their inhabitants, people and otherwise..
